Privacy Policy

Sentiscale ("Sentiscale", "we", "us") is operated by Vesper AI, c/o ExpertFid & Audit SA, Strehlgasse 2, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland (the "Operator"). This policy explains what the Sentiscale iOS app and its lock-screen widget collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version: Sentiscale has no user accounts, shows the same market-wide information to everyone, serves no ads, and uses no third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. We collect only the minimum needed to deliver the notifications you ask for, to verify a Pro subscription, and — unless you switch it off — to see where first-time setup goes wrong.

What we collect

• Push notification token. If you enable notifications, Apple issues your device a push token, which we store so our server can send the alerts you choose.
• Notification preference. Your chosen tier (Off, Daily why, or All) is stored alongside that token.
• Subscription status. If you subscribe to Sentiscale Pro, the App Store gives the app an Apple-signed receipt. We verify it to unlock Pro features and keep a minimal record (the subscription's transaction identifier and expiry date) to confirm continued access and to honor refunds and cancellations. We never receive your name, payment card, or Apple ID — Apple handles all payment.
• Support messages. If you email us, we receive your message and address in order to reply.
• Anonymous setup analytics. To find where first-time setup goes wrong, the app records a small, fixed set of events during the first run — which setup step was shown, how long it stayed on screen, and how it was left — along with your app version, iOS version, and chosen market region. These are tied to a random identifier the app generates on your device at install: not your name, not your Apple ID, not the device advertising identifier, and nothing that links you to another app. Deleting the app orphans it permanently. The events come from a fixed list — no free text ever leaves your device — and we do not store your IP address with them. You can switch this off at any time under Settings › Privacy (“Don't share usage data”), which stops collection immediately.

We do not collect your name, an account, contacts, location, browsing history, or the device advertising identifier, and we do not use advertising SDKs. The one third-party SDK in the app is RevenueCat, used solely for subscription analytics — see below.

How we use it

• To deliver the notifications you opt into.
• To verify a Pro subscription and unlock paid features.
• To respond to support requests.
• To measure where first-time setup goes wrong, so we can fix it.
• To measure subscription performance — trials started, conversions, renewals, and refunds.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

This website

The sentiscale.app website runs no advertising script and loads nothing from a third party. Our web server keeps a short access log of the pages requested — which we use only to count how many people visit the page and how many go on to the App Store. The log does not record your IP address, which is discarded before the entry is written, and it contains nothing that identifies you.

Cookies. The access log cannot tell one person reading four pages from four people reading one, so if you press Accept on the bar at the foot of the page we set one cookie (ss_sid) holding a random number. It lets us count a visit — how many people come, how far down the page they read, and whether they went on to the App Store. The number is generated by our server, is linked to no account, follows you to no other website, and expires thirty minutes after you stop reading. Your answer is remembered in a second cookie (ss_consent) for six months so that we ask only once; if you press Decline that answer is the only thing we store and nothing about your visit is measured. Both cookies can be cleared at any time in your browser, and neither is used for advertising or profiling. The visit records themselves are kept for at most 90 days and then deleted automatically.

Market data

The gauge is derived from publicly available market and news data we retrieve from third-party sources (for example Finnhub, Cboe, and alternative.me). These are sources we read from; we do not send them any information about you.

Apple

Payments, subscription management, and push delivery are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

RevenueCat

To understand subscription revenue — how many trials convert, how many subscriptions renew — we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) as a processor. When a purchase completes, the app reports the Apple-signed transaction and a random per-device identifier to RevenueCat. RevenueCat never receives your name, Apple ID, or payment details, and it plays no part in deciding what the app unlocks — that stays between the app and Apple. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Retention

We keep your push token and notification preference until the token becomes invalid, you turn notifications off, or you delete the app. Subscription verification records are kept for as long as needed to confirm entitlement and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Anonymous setup analytics are kept in aggregate to compare one release against the next; because they carry no identifier tied to you, they cannot be traced back to a person.

Your choices

• Turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings.
• Switch off anonymous setup analytics under Settings › Privacy.
• Deleting the app stops any further collection.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Children

Sentiscale is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
